The UV flatbed printer is a high-tech, plate-free, full-color digital printing machine that is not restricted by materials and can be widely used in screen printing, gift processing, signage, decoration, and personalized printing industries. As a consumable for UV flatbed machines, ink plays a vital role in the smoothness of printing and the quality of finished products. There are many kinds of ink, including soft ink and hard ink. Different materials actually require different inks. So, how to distinguish it?
1. Soft ink
Soft ink is suitable for printing on various soft materials such as fabrics, leather, timing belts, and soft films. The soft ink has stronger pressure resistance, ductility, and adhesion, and can follow the distortion and folding of the material itself. Changes will not produce cracks.
2. Hard ink
Hard ink is suitable for printing on hard materials such as glass, ceramic tiles, acrylic, advertising signs, plastics, metals, panels, etc. Hard ink has better adhesion to harder materials, but the opposite effect will occur when soft materials are used. If the soft material uses hard ink, the finished product printed by the flatbed printer will be easy to crack, and the pattern will not be as bright and shiny as the soft ink. If the hard material uses soft ink, the finished product will not be resistant to scratches or water, and the color will fade and fall off if it takes a little longer.
The quality of the ink itself will directly affect the performance of the printed pattern. At present, the quality of ink on the market is uneven. The quality of ink will directly affect the smoothness and fineness of spraying, and will also greatly increase the cost of consumables and the probability of nozzle damage. For the choice of ink for flatbed printers, try to choose original and high-quality ink. The imported ink used by the manufacturer has undergone long-term continuous effect testing, and the color reproduction degree can reach the market-leading level. The pigment particles in the ink have a diameter of less than 1 micron, no volatile organic solvent, ultra-low viscosity, and no irritating odor, which can ensure that the ink does not block the nozzle during the jet printing process, and combines fast, that is, spray and dry.
