A brief introduction to XAAR heads in the UK

Table Of Contents

In the past ten years or more in the printing industry, the XAAR nozzles of XAAR have achieved significant development and progress, from the original simple label printing to the printing of wide sub-screens, from low-precision to high-precision large-scale printing. The output is nothing more than another leap to drive the inkjet industry.

As a British XAAR company with influence in the market of piezoelectric printheads in the inkjet printing industry, the following describes the specific conditions of the use of its printheads in the Chinese market.

UK XAAR

The main nozzles produced by XAAR are XAAR128, XAAR500, XAAR126 and XAAR380, XAAR760, XAAR1001, and other models.

A.XAAR128 printhead is the earliest and most widely used printhead in the market, with a print width of 17.4mm.

XAAR128/80 Ignition frequency: 4.2KHZ

XAAR128/80W Ignition frequency: 5.5KHZ

XAAR128/40 Ignition frequency: 8.3KHZ

XAAR128/40W Ignition frequency: 8.3KHZ

In order to face the needs and competition of the market, Xaar launched Xaar electronic nozzles. The electronic nozzles have 128 small pipes, and the size of the original 128 has not changed much. The biggest difference is that the electronic nozzles have built-in filters. It can filter the impurities of the ink and protect the print head. It is more compatible with ink and prolongs the service life of the print head. With its own electronic device, it can control and adjust the temperature, which is more conducive to the jetting of ink, similar to Konica’s nozzles. The ink droplets become smaller and the precision is quite high. There are two main models:

XAAR electronic sprinkler electron 70-W/70PL ignition frequency is 8.5KHZ

XAAR electronic sprinkler electron 35-W/35PL ignition frequency is 14KHZ

B. XAAR500 is the best printhead in usability, stability, and operability of Xaar printheads. It has a printing width of 70.5mm and 500 pipes. There are two resolution modes:

xaar500/80 for UV ink ignition frequency 4KHZ

xaar500/80-cm Ignition frequency 7.2KHZ for oil-based ink

xaar500/40UV for UV ink ignition frequency 8KHZ

The ignition frequency of xaar500/40S for solvent ink is 8KHZ

In 2009, Purcell introduced the meson head based on the xaar500 head, and the performance has been improved. The difference between the meson head and the 500 head is that the shell is red. Increased firing frequency and printing speed

C. XAAR126 print head print width 17.2MM.

There are three commonly used models:

The speed of XAAR126/80 can reach 6m/s and the ignition frequency is 5.2KHZ

The speed of XAAR126/50 can reach 6m/s and the ignition frequency is 7.5KHZ

The speed of XAAR126/35 can reach 6m/s and the ignition frequency is 9KHZ,

In addition, some factories have some inkjet printers using the latest xaar130/600 printheads, which are not seen on Searle’s website. They are aluminum alloy materials, ink droplet size 30pl, ignition frequency 9.3k, dot speed 5m/s, appearance, and technology The parameters are relatively close to the 126/35 model, it is estimated that it is the 126/30 model, but domestic manufacturers have their own names and do some technical design.

Most of the nozzles produced by Saier are made of Teflon materials, so the stability of use cannot be guaranteed, and the accuracy will be greatly reduced after a few months of use.

XAAR 64 is mainly used in inkjet printers. It is a special nozzle for inkjet printers. It is used on some special models. Currently, IKONMAC and other inkjet printers are using this nozzle.

The XAAR proton nozzle PROTON is the XAAR382 in the market, because there are 382 nozzles, the market is collectively called XAAR 382 according to the previous naming convention of Purcell. The width of the printing bar is 57.3mm. The main features of this nozzle are: its own ink configuration and temperature Adjustment, also known as constant temperature control, which is conducive to the volatility of the ink, and there is a built-in filter, which is more compatible with the ink. Currently, there is only one model:

XAAR proton nozzle PROTON(382)/60PL ignition frequency is 7.0KHZ

XAAR proton nozzle PROTON(382)/35PL ignition frequency is 9.5KHZ

XAAR proton nozzle PROTON (382) 45PL grayscale nozzle ignition frequency 15KHZ

XAAR proton nozzle PROTON (382) 30PL grayscale nozzle ignition frequency 15KHZ

XAAR proton nozzle PROTON (382) 15PL grayscale nozzle ignition frequency 15KHZ

XAAR 318 series & XAAR 760 series & XAAR1001 series (grayscale series)

D. XAAR 318 and 760 series 1001 series is a grayscale printhead.

Similar to Seiko’s SPT510GS, SPT508GS, SPT255GS series, Toshiba TOSHIBA TEC’s CA4, CA5, CA3, CB1, and CE2 series grayscale print heads, the so-called grayscale is the color processing of the ink that can form a gradient transition process. A technology that makes the colors more vivid and realistic.

XAAR 318/CA2 6-42PL Printing bar width 53.6mm Ignition frequency: 4.8KHZ

XAAR 318/CA4 6-42PL Printing bar width 53.6mm Ignition frequency: 6.2KHZ

XAAR 760/GS8 8-42PL Printing bar width 73.8mm Ignition frequency: 7.8KHZ

XAAR 1001/GS6 6-42PL Printing width 70.5mm Ignition frequency: 6KHZ 1000 nozzles, eight grayscale.

E. XAAR 1001/GS12 12-84PL Printing width 70.5mm Ignition frequency: 6-12KHZ 1000 nozzles, eight-level grayscale, using oil-based ink, this nozzle is specially launched for ceramic inkjet printing.

XAAR 1001/GS6 is used in a barcode printing machine in Beijing, and xaar1001 is currently widely used in ceramic printing. Large-scale ceramic printers in Spain and Italy use this head.

XAAR 1001/FB is used on barcode machines for customs medical supervision codes and textile printing machines.

XAAR 1002, an upgrade made on XAAR1001, has a more stable performance.

XAAR 501/GS10, the new circulating spray head.
