UV ink is an energy-saving and environmentally friendly ink that can be hardened and attached to the surface of the printed object by UV light (ultraviolet light). It dries at the moment of output, so the production delivery time can be greatly shortened. It can be printed on various non-absorbent materials such as resin, glass, metal, etc. A rich series of inks (soft, core, hard) can be used according to the purpose and material, from small accessories to large plates, architecture, industrial design, all of which can allow the pattern to be printed.
One. Low VOC (volatile organic compound) and ozone-free ink
After being irradiated by UV light, the pigment is directly attached to the surface of the material and hardened, so almost no VOC is generated. In addition, short-wavelength ultraviolet rays that produce ozone are not used, so it is not only environmentally friendly, but also an environmentally friendly ink that takes into account the health burden of operators.
Two. Curing method of UV ink
1. Use LED light source for UV irradiation to solve the problems of halogen lamps, such as: long idle time, high power consumption, large light source size, short service life, high heating temperature, etc.
2. Energy saving and long service life
Compared with halogen lamps, the power consumption and heat generation of LEDs during irradiation are greatly reduced. Not only energy saving, but also the life of the bulb has been greatly improved, which is beneficial to reduce waste.
3. Less heat generation, thus expanding the range of material use
UV irradiation generates less heat, such as acrylic board, PVC film, PET, etc., when used on materials whose surface or shape is easily affected by heat and changes in shape, it can also produce high color rendering and delicate printed products.
Three. Application range of UV ink
The material applicability is high and the application range is quite wide, such as: ink types suitable for gifts, promotional gifts, and plates, ink types suitable for printing on touch panel films or switches, and ink types suitable for body wrapping and various packaging that require curved surface processing or expansion materials.
Note:
1. Using white ink and transparent ink together will have richer color performance. When using transparent materials, printing a layer of white ink on the bottom layer of the full-color pattern at the same time can have brighter color performance.
2. If only colored ink is used, all colors will be transparent and the original colors cannot be reflected.
3. White × full-color ink, white ink can prevent light from passing through, and can show the vividness of the photo itself.
Four. Relationship between UV ink and head
1. Different heads correspond to different UV inks, and they cannot be replaced at will, otherwise the nozzles will be blocked;
2. The quality of UV ink not only affects the quality of printing, but also affects the life of the heads;
3. Usually the shelf life of UV ink is 1-1.5 year. Do not use expired ink, which is easy to clog the heads.
