In the early days, the patterns on the pen boxes were mostly drawn by silk screen printing. In recent years, UV printing technology has gradually replaced it, but it has not become a major trend. It is only suitable for printing patterns on pen boxes of some materials and shapes.
There are two main reasons why it is only suitable for printing on pen boxes of some materials and shapes:
1. Metal pen boxes need to be stamped, which physically changes the structure and shape of the material, and the stretchability of UV ink needs to be improved in this area. Some thin tin plates are OK, but thick ones will crack the pattern.
2. Considering that the pen box often comes into contact with people, moisture and oil stains on the hands can accelerate the shedding of the UV ink pattern on the pen box, so post-processing spray varnish is required.
