Solutions for UV Flatbed Printer Software Voltage and Temperature Abnormalities

If the software of a UV flatbed printer shows abnormal voltage or temperature readings, the printer may fail to eject ink properly. This issue is typically caused by five common factors, which can be resolved by checking them one by one.

1. Poor Communication with the Printhead Board

Check whether the signal transmission between the printhead board and the system is stable. If communication is faulty, inspect whether the printhead board is burnt or if its electronic components are damaged. If so, contact the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) to send a replacement printhead board.

2. Poor Contact in Printhead Data Cable

Inspect the data cable interface on the printhead to see if it is corroded, broken, or loose. This is usually easy to identify. If there is poor contact, either replace the cable or firmly reinsert it into the connector.

3. Software Restart Required

Power off the UV flatbed printer and restart the software on the connected computer. Then check whether the voltage and temperature readings return to normal.

4. Abnormal Voltage in the Printhead Power Box

Open the printer’s power box cover and check whether the printhead power supply voltage is within the normal range. If not, inspect whether the voltage stabilizer is functioning correctly. This issue is relatively rare.

5. Printhead Control Board Failure

If all the above checks are completed and the software still shows abnormal voltage or temperature, the printhead control board may be faulty. Contact the OEM for a replacement board.

Additional Note for Cold Weather:

In winter or in low-temperature environments, the ink delivery system of a UV flatbed printer should be heated to maintain proper ink flow. If possible, use an air conditioner with warm air (avoiding direct airflow to the printer). If that’s not available, external heat sources such as portable heaters, warming fans, or printhead heating pads are recommended.
