UV Printer Ink Protection Bottle Filled with Ink – Causes and Solutions

If ink enters the UV printer’s protection bottle, it will directly prevent ink supply, and the printhead will be unable to print patterns normally. This type of failure is generally caused by one of three issues: negative pressure adjustment too low, causing backflow, an abnormal secondary ink tank sensor, or abnormalities in the ink supply circuit.

 1. Negative Pressure Adjustment Too Low, Leading to Backflow

If the negative pressure value of the ink supply is set too low, UV ink may backflow, preventing smooth ink delivery to the printhead. The solution is to adjust the negative pressure back to normal using the software settings. If the printer uses a manual system, adjust it manually.

⚠️ Note: The proper negative pressure value varies depending on the UV flatbed printer model—there is no universal standard range.

 2. Abnormal Secondary Ink Tank Sensor

If the secondary ink tank sensor malfunctions, check whether the sensor has sunk. If it has, lift it back up. If it repeatedly sinks after being lifted, the sensor is faulty, and the secondary ink tank needs to be replaced.

 3. Ink Supply Circuit Abnormalities

Check whether the ink supply circuit has unstable voltage or damaged/shorted wiring. If such issues are present, power off the equipment and repair the circuit before resuming use.
